An all inclusive luxury resort for foodies in Maldives

For foodies, Luxury hotels, Maldives, Travel advice, Travelguide

I´m a foodie traveler! So when I chose an all inclusive resort for our Maldives stay, then the quality of food was one of the most important things for me! I did a lot of research and found a perfect resort! If you consider yourself to be a gourmet traveler as well, then read on to find out the perfect Maldives resort for you!

It´s no secret that an all inclusive resort (even a 5 star luxury one) with gourmet food is a rare sight! Normality seems to be mass production of mediocre food, cheap wine, syrupy cocktails and bad coffee! This could ruin your whole holiday, especially if you spend a week or two on the same little island resort like in Maldives. That´s why I went to great lengths to find a perfect 5-star luxury all inclusive resort with true gourmet food!

How to find the best foodie resorts?

Here´s what I did:

  • I searched on Booking.com for all inclusive 5 star resorts with rating higher than 9. If you click on the rating, then you reach more detailed section of comments. Click on Food or Breakfast tab to read all the comments mentioning these words. From here I eliminated many highly rated resorts which had bad marks for food (bland food, boring options, low quality coffee etc).
  • I searched on Tripadvisor for the resorts that I had picked with the help of Booking.com. I compared the ratings, read comments.
  • I checked the ratings of the resort’s restaurants on Google maps.
  • I googled for “best resorts for foodies Maldives”
  • When I had just a few options on plate I searched for blog posts about staying in these resorts and this is how I ended up making my decision

Would you like to enjoy all this during your Maldives vacation? Let me know in the comments! I would repeat it any time. The only down side is that you might gain a bit of weight, but as there´s so many fruits, vegetables and seafood, then it´s not very likely. Plus you have tons of things to do at the resort to keep you fit (more about these in another post)!
